To be or Not to be in Seminary-is that still the question?
This question raises others: In a world of TV ministry and "mega" and now "giga" churches, are people grappling with going to institutions of higher learning where they might spend time in preparation with God? In a culture where the gospel has seemingly been laced with Americanized capitalism that has traded the Cross for cash, cameras, and crowds, are there any men and women standing like Jacob at the Jabbok wrestling against God, man, and self? The African American Pulpit is excited to answer such questions with a resounding YES! Not only are there many outstanding seminary students who are striving and struggling, but we have the pleasure of sharing some of their ministry with you in this Fall 2006 Seminarians' Issue.
In addition to our powerful seminarian sermons in this issue, we've also included esteemed elders Caesar Clark, Sandy Ray, and Charles Albert Tindley. You're certain to be challenged and encouraged by their words. And we have several informative articles as usual, such as an article on forming dance ministry and an inspiring reminder on preaching to heal listeners.

And Jesus said, "Where is he?" And the Master said in one sentence all of the Christian ethics you need to know, all you need about the theories of human goodness; he said, "Bring him to me."
