John M. Ferguson, Artist and Framer

He has been an artist since grammar school where he became excited about crayons while in the first grade. He got his first oil paints at ten years old.

He took three years of art in high school. He has sold numerous works. His art is now all over the world. Without soliciting he has sold to friends and friends of friends. During his Air Force service he sold paintings to fellow servicemen. He has retired from a career in electronics, and is a full time artist.

Since retirement, he has sold diverse works to the public, and greatly expanded his list of buyers. The subjects of his work are extensive and they cover the whole gambit from portraits to landscapes. The media goes from pencil to oil, and acrylic to pastel. Prints have been sold in various places in Oakland and Vallejo. He, also, took up framing in order to frame his own work.

Framing has grown to become a large part of Mr. Ferguson’s business. He also does custom framing at a reasonable price. He has prints and greeting cards for sale. They are in Afro American themes and conventional themes at a reasonable price.

Email him at jironton@comcast.net for a slide show with his images. He has over 50 images to choose from.
