Our Empowerment

My Soul to His Spirit is overflowing with enlightening collections of essays, poems, and epistles from 63 black women from all over the United States, who intelligently and unreservedly, express the array of experiences and heartfelt emotions that define all facets of their unique father-daughter bond. It offers black women a safe haven to speak freely, creatively, and candidly about our relationships with our fathers. This book will help black women understand the nature of relationships they have with all men in their lives and how those relationships ultimately affect the family. It will also enlighten black men on the emotional and psychological impact they have on their daughter’s lives. This book will stir dialogue in the black community so that the strengthening and healing of the black family may begin and continue.
